Job Summary

We are seeking a experienced, reliable and skilled Driver / handy person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods relating to kitchen, bathroom and bedroom furniture. Also the right person should have basic DIY skills and be able to help around the showroom when not out delivering.

Duties

Operate a long wheel base van to deliver goods to various locations in and around Hull. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of goods, help with heavy goods will be on hand at both loading and unloading, maintaining the integrity of all items transported. Conduct periodic inspections of vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition i.e oil water tires etc. Report any faults or damage to the relevant person and keep vehicle clean and tidy. Communicate effectively with staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients. Assist in and around the showroom as needed, including organisation of goods.

Qualifications

Valid clean driving licence and knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Good communication skills, to communicate effectively with team members and customers. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. A commitment to safety and adherence to all regulations related to driving.
