About The Role

Location: Luton, Cawleys

Salary: 16.18 per hour / 38,000 per annum Working Pattern: Monday - Friday Start & Finish Times: 04:00am - 14:00pm, 1 hour unpaid lunch break Full PPE Provided Suez Company Benefits

About the role

You will be driving the company van and private fuel (you must declare private usage to HMRC). You can choose to just use the van for travel to and from work with no personal usage and pay less tax.

What will I be doing?

Managing the Drivers pre-shift and at the start of the shift to ensure they commence their rounds safely and promptly whilst resolving any issues until normal office hours commence. Managing and investigating vehicle / personal incidents and any road traffic accidents. Investigating and resolving near miss / hazard reports. Weekly vehicle inspections / gate checks. Responsible for ensuring the downloading of VU and Drivers' tacho cards and reviewing infringement reports with Drivers. Ensuring vehicles are presented for service on time and inspections (inc. LOLER) are completed as per company standards. Responsible for driver inductions and training, as well as delivering toolbox talks. Complete yearly driving and pre-employment driving assessments.
Occasional cover for Driver sickness / absence as required (LGV licence is therefore essential).

What are the requirements?

It is essential to have an LGV (CAT C) Licence and Driver CPC Card. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Valid First Aid Certificate (training can be provided for the successful candidate). IOSH qualification (training can be provided for the successful candidate). Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including basic PC skills - Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
