Are you a Driver Trainer looking for your next challenge? Perhaps you are a driver wanting to bring your knowledge off the road? Whatever the reason, this is the role for you!
Here at GXO, we are currently searching for a Driver Trainer to come and join our site in Avonmouth on an 18 month fixed term contract. As a Driver Trainer, you will be conducting driving assessments for potential new starters coming into the business while delivering driver CPC training to all current driver employees on the site.
You\xe2\x80\x99ll join us on a full time, permanent basis, working predominantly Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday, 07:00 \xe2\x80\x93 15:00 however, flexibility is needed, this is logistics after all.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do on a typical day:

  • Complete driver vehicle checks and ensure these are audited correctly
  • Maintain the correct use of onboarding tachograph equipment while ensuring the Tachomaster record and ongoing maintenance is completed
  • Conduct inductions and manual handling training to all employees on site
  • Monitor the standard of new drivers and offer information, support, and guidance to other departments where applicable
  • Participate in health and safety meetings and complete health and safety checks at the site

What you need to succeed at GXO

  • Up to date knowledge of WTD and all relevant transport legislation
  • Previous experience within a large transport operation would be ideal
  • A clean Large Goods Vehicle (HGV) Driving Licence Category C+E
  • Large Goods Vehicle Instructor Qualification (NRI or equivalent)
