About the Role

We're hiring a Driver Trainer & Operator--someone who's just as confident leading by example as they are supporting others to improve. In this dual role, you'll be a fully operational HGV driver responsible for completing deliveries, while also taking on the key responsibility of training and coaching fellow drivers to uphold our high standards of safety, performance, and professionalism.

What You'll Be Doing

Provide practical and theoretical training for new and existing drivers across the JD network Support the onboarding and ongoing development of driving staff Carry out assessments, delivery point assessments, route accompaniment and feedback sessions Ensure compliance with JD.com safety protocols and transport regulations Keep training records, materials, and policies up to date with industry best practice Promote a strong safety-first culture across the fleet Operate HGV vehicles as part of daily logistics operations (including delivery and collection routes)
What You'll Need

A valid Category CE licence (Class 1) Driver assessor qualification Smiths or SAFED assessor qualification an advantage Proven experience as a professional HGV driver Previous experience in driver training, coaching, or mentoring. Strong knowledge of transport laws, health and safety standards, and driver compliance Great communication skills with the ability to motivate and educate others A flexible approach--comfortable switching between driving and training duties as needed
