Job Description

:
Class 2 Driver - South Kirkby, Wakefield
Salary: 28,301 per annum
Shifts - 4 on / 4 off - 7am-5.15pm
The Role:

Operate LGV vehicles for the transportation of waste material to landfill

Complete daily pre start checks on vehicles before operated

Compliance with driver hours' rules and transport legislation

Develop a good working relationship with 3rd party off takers

Maintain a good standard of vehicle cleanliness

Undertake vehicle wheel re torque on a weekly basis

Ensure compliance with Defect report procedure

Ensures contract runs in compliance with internal and external safety / environmental / permit / planning processes and procedures, as well as any contract requirements.

Maintain robust documentation records

Requirements:
Essential criteria for the role:

Previous experience as a LGV Driver and a current class 1 or class 2 license

Nationally recognised Driver CPC driver Card
Driver Digital tacho card

Demands high standards of themselves and others and is able to translate this into high quality, high pace output.
Ability to build and maintain strong, cohesive relationships at all levels.

Basic understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance.

Good organisation skills and the ability to forward plan making best use of time.
