Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for clearing/delivering goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely service to our clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics, looking to utilise their skills in a dynamic environment. A valid driver licence is essential, along with experience in commercial driving and warehouse operations.

Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including flatbed lorries, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies. Deliver goods to various locations within the designated area, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly to maintain vehicle safety and compliance. Assist with loading and unloading cargo, utilising warehouse experience to handle goods efficiently. Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs. Ensure the security of goods during transit and upon delivery at the destination.

Requirements

Proven experience in driving, particularly as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving. Valid driver licence with a clean driving record. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle checks and troubleshoot minor issues. Experience operating flatbed vehicles or similar large transport equipment preferred. Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively. Warehouse experience is advantageous for handling goods efficiently during loading and unloading processes. Ability to work independently, demonstrating organisation and time management skills. Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
