Job description

Driver/Art Technician required to work for a dynamic, customer focused environment and to ensure the protection of personnel and shipments for which the company is responsible. This position requires strict following of rules and procedures to protect and safeguard the transports and property of Malca-Amit and its customers.

responsibilities

Performing pickups and deliveries of high value shipments. Responsible for carrying out exceptional care when handling, packing and transporting antique items. Responsible for the safe and secure wrapping and packing of artworks, antiques and other high-end items. Responsible for ensuring that all property is accounted for whilst in the gallery and/or the warehouse, and any missing or damaged items are to be reported immediately to a manager. Respecting deadlines for installations, de-installations, exhibitions and transport of property. Required to maintain a high level of personal presentation at all times, ensuring compliance with the departments standard procedures and safety requirements. Required to complete any relevant training that is required of you, including refresher training when necessary. Responsible for routine condition reporting. Maintaining high standards of work at trade shows and special events. Loading and unloading the fine art vehicle, with all necessary measures for fragile artworks. Ensuring the safety and protection of assets at all times. Maintaining a high level of vigilance at all times. Providing an excellent level of customer service at all times. Respecting and following the company's guidelines and procedures. Driving a fine art vehicle and following road safety regulations. Completing reports and check of the vehicle maintenance. Carrying out other ad-hoc duties as requests.

Must hold a Full Clean UK Driving Licence Excellent ethics and integrity High attention to detail Excellent customer service Ability to work independently Professional positive demeanour
This role requires references to be provided for the last 5 years as well as a successful DBS check


9:00am to 5:00pm. Might be occasional overnight stay for long transports collection/delivery/installation.
