Job Title: Delivery Driver & General Maintenance Operative

About Us:

Arena Community is a charitable organisation based in Ilkeston. We operate two community shops that sell donated furniture, clothing, and household items to support our work. We are looking for a reliable and proactive individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver & General Maintenance Operative.

Job Purpose:

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the smooth operation of our community shops by ensuring timely and safe deliveries and collections of donated goods. The role also includes vehicle upkeep, basic maintenance tasks, and assisting with general duties across Arena Community sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate Arena Community vehicles for collections and deliveries, ensuring the vehicle is regularly checked (e.g., tyres, oil) and kept clean and tidy. Safely load, unload, and transport furniture and other donated items in line with health and safety guidelines. Maintain the delivery/collection schedule and promptly report any issues to the Operations Supervisor. Carry out basic cleaning and maintenance duties at The Project and other Arena Community sites as needed. Support stock replenishment for both shops to ensure they are consistently well-stocked. Carry out additional tasks or responsibilities as required by the Management Team. Uphold Arena Community's values and follow the Code of Conduct at all times.

Person Specification:

Full UK driving licence (essential) Experience in a similar driving or delivery role (preferred) Physically fit and able to handle furniture and other large items Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team A flexible and positive attitude towards a variety of tasks Commitment to the values and mission of Arena Community
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 18 per week
