We are seeking reliable and dedicated Driver's and Driver's Mate's to join our team in Avonmouth on a self employed basis. The ideal candidate will assist in the safe and efficient delivery & installation of white goods on behalf of AO, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting, making it essential for candidates to be physically fit and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Contracted hours are approximately between 30 and 60 per week on a permanent basis. There are also daily performance bonus's to be earnt.
Responsibilities
Complete loading and unloading of white goods from the vehicle.
Ensure that all items are securely packed and organised for transport.
Complete navigation and route planning to optimise delivery times.
Communicate effectively with the Customer regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and warehouse area.
Perform basic administrative tasks related to deliveries, such as completing delivery notes.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on duty.
Drive within the parameter's set by AO
Qualifications
Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is preferred but not essential.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
Familiarity with commercial driving practices is advantageous.
Experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and customers.
A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
Customer service experience an advantage.
