We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver's Mate to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the delivery of goods, ensuring that products are transported safely and efficiently. This role involves heavy lifting and requires effective communication skills to work collaboratively with drivers and warehouse staff. Responsibilities

Assist the driver in loading and unloading goods from the vehicle. Ensure that all items are secured properly for transport. Communicate effectively with the driver regarding delivery routes and schedules. Perform checks on the vehicle before departure to ensure it is roadworthy. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and loading area. Handle customer interactions professionally during deliveries. Support warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management.

Skills

Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely. Experience working in a warehouse environment is advantageous. Valid driving licence preferred; experience as a van driver or delivery driver is beneficial. Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is a plus. A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
