Drivers Mate
W & H Marriage & Sons Ltd has been a family-run miller since 1824 producing speciality flours.
We are looking for a Drivers Mate to join our Transport Team who are based at Chelmer Mills, Chelmsford, Essex.
Our Driving Team represent the company professionally with a high level of customer service. They ensure that all deliveries of flour and animal feed to customer premises are done so safely and efficiently.
Physical requirements
There is a requirement for daily manual handling of flour sacks and feed products, ranging in weight from 16 kgs to 25 kgs. There may be exposure to flour dust
Assisting driver when reversing - acting as banksman at customer premises
Ensuring all loads are safe and secure
Tasks include
Accurately completing daily records, ensuring Proof of Delivery paperwork are checked, signed and completed by the customer
Hours of work
Monday to Friday, to be worked between 0400 and 1600 hours
47.5 hours per week, Job and Finish rota
Occasional weekend work required
