Bury Hospice opened its doors in 1991 and since this time we have continued to provide invaluable palliative and end-of-life care to thousands of local residents and their families across Bury and the wider area.

The Hospice has a great opportunity for a weekend Warehouse Driver's Mate position to assist the Hospice's retail team with the deliveries of stock and the collection of donations. This role will be based at Radcliffe or Sedgley Warehouse with travel across all Hospice sites and locations in and around Bury.

Some of the key responsibilities for the role will include:

Work alongside the Warehouse Driver travelling across all retail sites distributing stock and collecting donated goods from customer's homes Assessing the quality of stock for collection from customers houses, checking for relevant safety labels To support with the co-ordination of pick-ups and deliveries in accordance with daily worksheets, and to record data accurately using the agreed systems Assisting customers by offering a friendly, polite and helpful service maintaining the reputation of Bury Hospice within the local community Work as part of a team alongside employees and volunteers to ensure that operations run efficiently
Given the physical demands of the post, you will be required to carry and manoeuvre heavy and cumbersome objects. Confidentiality and health and safety awareness are also key requirements for being successful within the role.
