About The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of an award-winning Transport team, who have won numerous awards for Operational, Business and H&S excellence over the last 2 years.
We are currently looking for Drivers Mates for our Broken Cross depot, you will work Monday to Friday inclusive. The hourly rate will be 11.50 an hour plus a quarterly bonus of up to 375. On top of this, you will be guaranteed a minimum of 48hours a week. You'll also receive 25 days holiday a year plus bank holidays. After a rewarding and productive 12 weeks, you'll have the opportunity to join our LGV Driver Apprenticeship program. This exciting step forward will not only enhance your skills but also increase your hourly rate.
Main responsibilities:

• To work as part of a two-person delivery team to ensure all deliveries are of high standard

• To ensure Health and Safety standards are adhered to
• Constantly communicate with the transport office regarding daily activities
• Adhere to procedures regarding the proper use and care of equipment and materials associated with the role
• Always offer a pleasant and concise delivery experience at each delivery visit
• Proactively make customer phone calls with ETA's, & keep records of deliveries made
• Take extra care with products to ensure goods are delivered damage free

About You
Essential Skills and Knowledge:

• Excellent communication skills
• Good time management
• Must have a clean, full UK Category B driving license

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

• Reliable, trustworthy with good concentration
• Knowledge of routes and geography
• Maths and English GCSE C grade or above or equivalent (Functional skills level 2)
