Job Description

As a Drivers Mate, you will be working aside our professional drivers who use a range of vehicles such as Refuse Collection Vehicles and Front-End Loaders, throughout Staffordshire and the surrounding areas, collecting non-hazardous waste and recyclable material.

Working closely with our busy customers, you must be polite, adept and customer focused. Attention to detail, and an ability to follow instruction is essential. Please note: Varying vehicle types and a range of circumstances indicate there will be elements of manual labour involved in day-to-day tasks.

The Role

Navigating and assisting drivers with routes Collecting and loading Occasional requirement to conduct small vehicle runs with uplifts or additional stock Working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment where we aim to delight our customers

Requirements

Full UK Driving License Good geographical knowledge of local and surrounding areas Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work Enjoy working as part of a team Ability to work to tight deadlines Have adequate numeracy and English skills

Shift Patterns:

Monday - Friday 04:00 - 14:00

Alternate Saturday Mornings - 07:00 - 12:00

These normal hours of work may be varied to meet the needs of the Company and mode of vehicle

Average of 48 hours
