Solihull Music School

is looking for a self-employed drum teacher to teach the Yamaha/Rock School syllabus. The ideal candidate will have minimum grade 6 drums but preferably Grade 8 . Key areas we will look for are:

? All-round music skills, notation & music theory.

? Ability to play with confidence and use technical ability to produce exciting performances to motivate each class of students.

We offer classes at our state of the art music studios, set in Knowle. Our classes take place late afternoon / evenings.

Successful candidates will be assessed on:

? Availability to teach on a Thursday to begin with, with the ability to expand to other days if able.

? Willingness to use and follow lesson plan templates.

? Ability to exert authority for discipline purposes, whilst remaining kind and calm.

? Ability to commit to teacher training days with Yamaha in Milton Keynes - training dates - 8th - 10th April 2026

? Ability to teach 44 weeks of the year.

? A driving license and own transport.

A successful candidate will also:

? Become a part of an established Team of Music Teachers.

? Have their own enthusiastic groups of students (beginners or improvers) with the opportunity to grow student numbers, resulting in a healthy salary) as well as 1-2-1 students.

? Receive ongoing Teacher Training and paid for CPD from Yamaha HQ as well as ongoing Professional Development.

? Ability to feature on our YouTube, Instagram and Facebook pages to showcase results.

? No sales or student recruitment necessary as this is done through the management team.

- Available to teach on Thursdays from 4pm-8pm. Cover teaching also available and other days may also be available. Please do apply with your availability.
