Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Fixer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various trades, demonstrating proficiency in using power tools and interpreting schematics. This role requires a hands-on approach to maintenance and repair tasks across multiple disciplines, including roofing, painting, electrical work, welding, plumbing, plastering, fabrication, and building. The Fixer will play a crucial role in ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Operate power tools safely and effectively for various repair and maintenance tasks. Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements and specifications. Perform roofing repairs and installations as needed. Execute painting tasks with attention to detail for both interior and exterior surfaces. Conduct electrical work including installations, repairs, and troubleshooting of systems. Weld components together using appropriate techniques for durability and safety. Plumb fixtures and systems ensuring proper installation and functionality. Plaster surfaces to achieve a smooth finish as required by project specifications. Fabricate custom solutions for unique repair challenges. Build structures or components as directed by project plans or specifications. Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience in multiple trades including roofing, painting, electrical work, welding, plumbing, plastering, fabrication, or building. Strong knowledge of power tools and their safe operation. Ability to read and understand technical schematics and blueprints. Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to repairs. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients. A valid driver's licence may be required depending on project locations.

Pay: 20.41-21.84 per hour
