Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dry Liner to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dry lining techniques and be proficient in using various tools and equipment. This role involves working on-site to install plasterboard systems, ensuring high-quality finishes.Duties will include dot & dab , and at times Tacking.This will be carried out on domestic sites,such as Bellway,Taylor wimpey, across Cardiff,Newport and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

Install plasterboard systems on walls and ceilings, ensuring precise alignment and secure fittings. Prepare surfaces for dry lining by cleaning, levelling, and applying necessary treatments. Use power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and fixing materials. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and electricians, to ensure seamless integration of services. Read and interpret schematics to understand project specifications and layout requirements. Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing dry lining installations as needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean work environment. Assist in the fabrication of custom solutions for unique project demands.

Qualifications

Proven experience in dry lining or related construction fields such as plastering or masonry. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade. Knowledge of building regulations and safety standards associated with dry lining work. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics. Strong problem-solving skills with an aptitude for practical tasks such as plumbing or electrical work being advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A valid CSCS card is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate.
