We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dry Liner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and finishing dry lining systems in various building projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilising a range of specialised skills and tools. The ideal applicant will have experience in construction and be comfortable working with a variety of materials and techniques, ensuring high standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Measure, cut, and install plasterboard and other dry lining materials accurately according to project specifications
Fix dry lining systems to walls, ceilings, and partitions using appropriate hand tools and power tools
Finish joints with plaster or joint compound, ensuring smooth surfaces ready for painting or decorating
Assist with the installation of insulation materials where required
Work alongside other trades such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers to ensure seamless project progression
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical instructions to complete installations correctly
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Requirements
Proven experience in dry lining or related construction disciplines such as plastering or carpentry
Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, masonry, and construction painting is advantageous but not essential
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used in construction work
Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are preferred but not mandatory
