specialist drylining and partitions contractor

is seeking an experienced

Quantity Surveyor

to join its commercial team based in Colchester.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a respected internal trades business delivering residential and commercial projects across the South East. The role offers long-term stability, clear progression, and exposure to a strong pipeline of secured work.

The Role

Commercial management of drylining, partitions, ceilings, and associated internal trade packages Managing projects from order through to final account Preparing and submitting monthly valuations and applications for payment Cost control, forecasting, and margin reporting Managing subcontractor and labour accounts Valuing variations and negotiating final accounts Working closely with Contracts Managers, Site Teams, and Pre-Construction Ensuring commercial compliance and margin protection across all projects

Requirements

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within drylining, interiors, or internal trades Strong understanding of cost control, valuations, variations, and final accounts Confident communicator with good organisational and negotiation skills Ability to manage multiple live projects simultaneously Experience working with subcontract labour and materials procurement Relevant construction or commercial qualification preferred (but not essential for the right candidate)
