to lead two small residential services supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). One home will operate as a solo placement, the other as a non-solo placement.
This is a key leadership role with full responsibility for the day-to-day management, compliance, and delivery of high-quality, therapeutic care in line with legislation, regulatory expectations, and best practice.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and daily oversight across two homes
Deliver care that secures positive outcomes and a stable environment for young people
Ensure compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and other relevant legislation
Lead, mentor, and supervise a committed staff team
Monitor budgets and maintain financial oversight
Drive continuous improvement through regular policy review and quality assurance
Maintain Ofsted standards with the aim of achieving and sustaining Good or Outstanding ratings
Lead safeguarding and risk management procedures
Build a positive home culture in line with the home's Statement of Purpose
Requirements
Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Registered Manager in children's residential care
Aged 25+ (insurance and legislative requirements)
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or equivalent)
Level 3, 4, or 5 in Health and Social Care
Proven ability to manage and develop staff teams
Demonstrable leadership in achieving positive inspection outcomes
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, regulation, and legislation including:
+ Children's Homes Regulations 2015
+ Children Act 1989 & 2004
+ Care Standards Act 2000
+ Working Together to Safeguard Children Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Willingness to participate in an on-call rota and flexible working
