Olivian House is a forward-thinking start-up organisation committed to delivering exceptional residential childcare within the statutory framework for children looked after, with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and mild learning disabilities (LD), in our three-bedded and two-bedded homes. We are currently seeking a highly experienced and entrepreneurial Registered Manager to lead the establishment and dual registration of our new children's residential homes, which will offer long-term care to children and young people aged 10 to 17.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a passion for therapeutic care and possess the skills to lead, motivate and develop a dedicated team to deliver the highest standards of care.
As the Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the homes, working closely with the Responsible Individual. You will ensure that the service consistently meets and exceeds the requirements of The Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, including The Quality Standards, and all relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks.
You will provide effective leadership and guidance to a team of Residential and Senior Residential Support Workers, fostering a nurturing, safe, and structured environment that promotes the emotional, social, and behavioural development of children and young people with EBD and LD needs.

Responsibilities and General Duties include, but not limited to:
Provide strategic and operational leadership in the daily running of the homes.
Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, The Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards.
Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to individual children's needs
Recruit, supervise, support and develop staff, ensuring continuous professional development and a culture of high performance.
Promote a therapeutic approach to care and champion child-centred practice throughout the home.
Create a safe, nurturing and empowering environment that supports young people in developing their independence and achieving positive outcomes.
Collaborate effectively with families, external professionals, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring robust safeguarding and care practices.
Manage the homes' budget, resources, and upkeep to maintain a high standard of living and operational excellence.
Person Specification:
Must hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Demonstrable experience in successfully setting up children's residential homes (desirable).
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a therapeutic and child-centred approach.
Thorough understanding of safeguarding, child development, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.

Remuneration & Partnership Incentives:
Salary of 80,000
A percentage of profit share
based on the home's performance
