We're now looking for a proactive and service-driven
Duty Manager
to join our leadership team. This is a hands-on, guest-facing role that's ideal for someone with hospitality experience and a passion for people and quality service.
The Role:
As Duty Manager, you'll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel during your shifts, including front desk, restaurant, bar, and guest services. You'll be the go-to person for both staff and guests, ensuring that operations run efficiently and that service remains consistently high across the board.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations across all departments during your shift
Ensure high standards of customer service in all guest-facing areas
Support and supervise restaurant, bar, reception, and housekeeping teams
Handle guest queries, feedback, and issues in a professional and positive manner
Open and close the hotel as required, including cashing up and security checks
Assist with staff scheduling, stock management, and daily reporting
Coordinate with the kitchen and service teams to maintain smooth F&B service
Uphold health and safety, hygiene, and licensing compliance
Staff Training & Development:
We believe great teams are built through strong leadership and ongoing development. As Duty Manager, you'll play an active role in coaching and guiding junior team members, helping to create a supportive and professional work environment. You'll contribute to training sessions, lead by example on the floor, and ensure all staff have the confidence and knowledge they need to deliver excellent service.
About You:
Previous experience in a supervisory or duty management role within hospitality
Strong understanding of hotel and F&B operations
Excellent interpersonal skills and a calm, solutions-focused approach
Confident leading a team and taking ownership of service delivery
Passion for customer service and a commitment to quality standards
Flexible and willing to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
Knowledge of the Scottish tourism industry and local food & drink is a plus
