The Foundry Social is a newly branded but iconic pub in the heart of Cathays whose heritage dates back to the 18th-century. Currently undergoing full refurbishment the venue will be a multi-faceted space for community, inclusivity and socialising.

The venue is the fourth opening within the South West Bar Group since 2021 and will be joined by fifth venue later this year. SWBG is curating a growing portfolio of unique businesses in thriving areas to develop into truly unique venues.

So what about the venue?

The venue is a 220 capacity pub with a large mezzanine area. We have a fully functional kitchen already operational via delivery platforms which will be extended to a full in-house menu on opening. With beer hall style seating, a unique rustic meets modern aesthetic and a vibrant live entertainment lineup the venue promises to bring something fresh and exciting to Cathays.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for an Duty Manager who is passionate about coaching and developing teams, keeping them motivated and driven at all times. You will need to be able to think on your feet and adapt to situations as they unfold, spotting and resolving problems quickly and efficiently. You will be proficient with standard back of house systems; stock taking, payroll and health and safety procedures and be conscientious in your approach to licensing and maintaining a safe working environment. We want someone who is passionate about driving sales and is always on the lookout for the next revenue driving opportunity!

Shifts will be predominantly late night shifts over the key trading days, however, there are as expected day shifts to keep up to date with all the admin that keeps the business running.
