The Role - Duty Manager:
Lead the way as a motivated and enthusiastic Duty Manager for a team of Ice Marshalls, Bar Staff, and Maintenance Staff, who will create our ice-skating experience at this year's Gloucester Quays Ice Rink. As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the direct line management of the team, problem solving, and excelling under pressure. Your ability to multitask, be a self-starter and lead by example will contribute significantly to creating a magical and enchanting experience for every customer and team member.
Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of the facility, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
- Manage and supervise a team of employees, providing guidance and support as needed
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues in a professional and timely manner
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the facility
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration
- Assist in the development and implementation of operational procedures and policies
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and address any maintenance or repair needs
- Prepare reports on facility operations, including attendance, revenue, and customer feedback
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols
- Proficient in using computer software for data analysis and reporting
