We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Duty Manager with great interpersonal and communication skills for our latest Retirement Living Community. Exclusively for the over 55's, Brookfields House, is situated inNewcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire.
Homeowners of the 75 privately-owned apartments will benefit from modern, stylish living in a safe and secure environment. The development offers an independent lifestyle with tailored care and support available if needed, in addition to a host of communal facilities such as an on-site restaurant, Homeowners' lounge, coffee lounge, activities studio, therapy room, hairdressing salon, and more.
Purpose of role:
As a Duty Manager you will be supporting the General Manager to ensure the delivery of high quality, customer focused housing management, care and support, catering, maintenance, and administration services.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting the General Manager with the day to day running of Brookfields House ensuring AMS standards are always maintained.
Welcoming the Homeowners to their new home and helping them to settle into the new community.
Deal with Homeowner and building emergencies in a calm and professional manner.
Provide the front of house service to welcome visitors.
Support social and group activities to enhance the lives of the Homeowners.
Ensuring the smooth delivery of a programme of leisure and social activities for homeowners. Including the promotion and use of all the facilities delivery of all services within the community
The Hours:
We operate a 4-week rolling rota. The total contracted hours over any 4-week period are 112 hours which equates to an average of 28 hours per week. The shift patterns consist of Early (7am-3pm), Late (3pm-10pm), and Sleepover (10pm-7am) shifts and include bank holidays and weekends. On occasions there will be opportunity to work additional hours to cover holidays and other absences.
Please note that this position was previously advertised with an average of 15.75 hours per week or 63 hours every 4-weeks and has since been modified to the hours above. Previous applicants are welcome to re-apply for this role with increased hours should they wish.
