Duty Manager (Leisure Centre) - Egham, Surrey
Salary: 26,651 for 37 hours (13.85 per hour)
Achieve Lifestyle is a leisure trust based in Surrey, and we want to expand our team.
We are seeking a new Duty Manager to join our Operational department here at Achieve Lifestyle.
The Duty Managers are the key lead for the operational day to day management across our 2 sites and as the first line of response are responsible for the health, safety and enjoyment of our customers and staff.
As part of a Operations team, you will undertake both operational shifts (key holder) as well as admin shifts over the course of your working week, across our sites at Egham and Addlestone.
You will be a multi-tasker who is capable of managing a variety of different situations from direct customer support; working within the pool plant rooms; and training and recruiting staff.
You must also be able to work shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Key Duties
To ensure the provision of a clean, high quality facility and exciting and innovative Leisure Centre programmes.
To act as a member of the Leisure Centre Management Team on a shift rota system, during opening hours of the Centre.
To be available to work poolside on a regular shift or as and when required to ensure the delivery of the Centre programme
To ensure all Health and Safety procedures and responsibilities are carried out at all times.
To deputise for the Operations Manager as requested.
To assist the Operations Manager in providing appropriate staff training and development.
To ensure sufficient staff are available for the safe, high quality functioning of the Centre.
To act as a main key holder for the Centre and be responsible for opening and closing of the building and emergency call-outs.
To undertake any regulatory requirements.
To be responsible and accountable for cash handling as required.
To undertake any other duties as may be required by the Operations Manager to ensure that the business objectives are achieved.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 1 year working in the leisure sector
NPLQ qualified
Pool Plant Operator Qualification (desirable but will be trained if not)
1st Aid Qualification

Able to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers and contractors
Able to communicate at different levels of the organisation, both listen and direct.
Able to maintain and be committed to good employee relations and deliver quality training
A team player who is able to both lead and be led when required
Able to demonstrate autonomy and is able to identify and solve issues and problems, as well as suggesting operational business improvements.
