Our Duty Supervisor is a key team member for the operation of our campus sports facilities, and associated areas. They assist with the implementation of the sports programme, and ensure that the needs of students, staff and external users are met. They are a key liaison with duty managers and ensure that the sports facilities and basic equipment are properly prepared and reinstated according to the programme of activities.

You'll lead the way by:



Assisting the Head of Operations and wider facilities team in the efficient, effective and economic delivery of services and the utilisation of resources to fulfil the requirements of Cardiff Met Sports Facilities. Deputising for the Duty Manager (DM) during hours outside of the DM team core hours, ensuring that rec assistants are in place and the ongoing delivery of services in a safe and sustainable manner. Taking responsibility for delivering high levels of customer care and service delivery from the sports facilities areas, leading the team of rec assistants and receptionists. Ensuring the sports facilities and associated areas, the sports programme and service delivery are of the highest standard during all hours. Assisting the Duty Manager to ensure that the Centre is always operated in accordance with all current legislation and statutory requirements (in particular the H & S at Work Act).

What you'll Bring




You'll use your previous experience of working within a sports environment and understanding of the importance of customer care to provide an outstanding service to our facilities users. Your knowledge of leisure management programmes and ability to use Microsoft Office platforms will help to ensure effective time management and utilisation of our facilities.

Additionally you'll have:



5 GCSE (A - C) or equivalent. Superb team working skills, able to work effectively as part of a team to deliver the best outcomes for facilities users. Experience maintaining specialised sports equipment, able to setup and support colleagues and facilities users.
