FINANCIAL PROGRAMME MANAGER
- Inside IR35
- 12 months + extensions
- Site working required in Gloucester
- Inside IR35
- DV Clearance required

The Financial Programme Manager service supports our most senior clients with the expertise and understanding needed to address the more complex challenges they face, from implementing financial and programme management processes to providing informed guidance on investment and organisational design. This role can operate independently or in a small team delivering solutions for the Client across a full range of technical competencies: Financial, Delivery focus, Strategic insight, Business Case authoring, Risk/Issue Management, Operating Model design, business change and critical friend advice/guidance.

- Critical friend - providing internal scrutiny of the case for new programmes, or high-risk changes to existing programmes. You will provide an alternative lens in the review of data, and provide advice, encouragement, and the ability to challenge rigorously where required.

- Subject Matter Expert - able to define appropriate procedures or standards within the project management discipline, successfully implement new methods to transform delivery, and advise on suitable metrics and performance levels for ongoing management.

- Transformation innovator - bringing additional leadership and expertise in the delivery of cutting edge organisational, capability or technology focused transformation and change.

- Integrator - understanding the needs of senior management by providing them with the focused information needed to drive forward the strategic aims of the organisation whilst also ensuring that project teams are appropriately empowered and directed to ensure delivery.

Skills and experience
- Experienced Consultancy skills.
- Comfortable and competent with Excel.
- Attention to detail - an innate preference for completeness and exactness.
- Able to listen and question effectively and communicate with confidence.
- Good stakeholder engagement and people management skills.
- Comfortable engaging with and influencing Senior Client Leaders.
- Design, production, manipulation of graphs to get a clear message across, desirable.
- Competence with Power BI, desirable.
- Competence with Visual Basic, desirable.

Responsibilities
- Provide Portfolio Office Financial governance supporting a 2* organisation.
- Support the Portfolio Office SPP Finance Manager/Analyst.
- Work with internal stakeholders on a monthly basis to collate financial data - Liaising with 14 PCOs and Delivery Leads
- Work with external stakeholders to understand and support their processes to deliver the data needed.
- Develop processes to improve the collection of finance data from a disparate group of stakeholders.
- Engage with external stakeholders to collate financial data, ensuring it is both accurate and detailed.
- Process collated data to assure accuracy of reporting, identifying issues and rectifying to assure the monthly report.
- Generating reporting and visual aids to assist in financial analysis.
