The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified
Level 5 Dyslexia Tutor
to join our expanding team. In this role, you will provide 1:1 specialist tuition to primary school-aged children across Cheshire, Stockport, and Manchester. Tuition sessions will be delivered in schools, requiring regular travel across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver structured, multi-sensory, cumulative 1:1 interventions for children with dyslexia and/or other SpLDs
Create and implement tailored learning plans to meet individual pupil needs
Work collaboratively with school staff, SENCOs, and parents/carers to monitor progress and set SMART targets
Maintain clear records of lessons and student progress
Requirements:
Level 5 qualification in Dyslexia/SpLDs (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Teaching Learners with Dyslexia/SpLDs or equivalent) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience providing 1:1 literacy tuition to primary school-aged children
Excellent knowledge of dyslexia and related learning difficulties
Ability to develop engaging, personalised learning materials
Strong communication, organisational, and reporting skills
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
