We are seeking an EAL Intervention Lead/Teaching Assistant to join our team at Twickenham School, part of Bourne Education Trust.




As an EAL Intervention Lead/TA, you will be responsible for delivering highly effective, targeted provision and care for pupils under the guidance of teachers and senior leaders. The role provides focused support for pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL), helping them access the curriculum, integrate into school life, and make academic and social progress.

Key responsibilities include:




Prepare and deliver tailored interventions based on individual needs and The Bell Foundation framework Assess pupils for English proficiency and track progress regularly. Ensure that the school management system (Arbor) is updated to reflect this regularly Create individualised study programmes to support language acquisition and curriculum access

Requirements include:




Essential




Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of pupils GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent) Experience working with children, particularly those with EAL needs

Desirable




NVQ Level 3 in Teaching Assistance or equivalent
