About the role

------------------

The UCL Centre for Languages & International Education (CLIE) is looking to appoint an experienced Administrator to join the English for Academic Purposes Office. The EAP Office team is responsible for administration of the centre's many EAP-related courses: the undergraduate and graduate foundations, the Pre-sessional and PASHE, teacher training and other short courses.

The EAP Administrator is involved in the day-to-day administration of one or more CLIE courses, and will typically be responsible for handling enquiries and applications, issuing offers and confirmations, processing fees, working towards agreed enrolment targets, supporting the Points Based immigration process, guiding students through formal enrolment, maintaining student records and producing reports, administration of exams and certification, minute-taking of relevant Student Partnership meetings and participation in regular team meetings. The Administrator will report to the Head of EAP Administration and will work closely with other administrators in the EAP Office team, as well as academic leads, and colleagues in CLIE Marketing and Finance and the central UCL administration.

This is a full-time role of 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, typically with 2 set days in the office and other days WFH.

You must have the right to work in the UK.

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will start work in early March 2026.

About you

-------------

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic administrator with a friendly and professional approach and significant recent experience in student admissions or student records, in either the HE or private sector. You will be quick to understand and apply policy and able to communicate it in a clear and patient way. You will have the confidence to deal with a range of academic and administrative colleagues, and you will be a helpful and supportive team member, happy to seek advice, share information and participate in regular team meetings. You should be accustomed to a hybrid working model and be able to organise and prioritise, working to deadlines and targets, sometimes under pressure, with good time management and excellent attention to detail. You will also be able to demonstrate flexibility and readiness when faced with new challenges. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft and other software platforms is essential.
