This role involves working directly with patients, ensuring comfort and safety while performing ear assessments and microsuction procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform ear microsuction procedures to remove earwax and other debris in a safe and effective manner.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and any contraindications for microsuction.
Educate patients on ear health, prevention of blockages, and aftercare following treatment.
Maintain accurate patient records, including details of procedures and any follow-up care needed.
Ensure all equipment is properly sterilized, maintained, and ready for use.
Assist in the day-to-day management of the clinic, including scheduling appointments and supporting the front desk team.
Stay updated with current best practices and regulatory guidelines related to ear care and microsuction techniques.
Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
Provide empathetic care to nervous or anxious patients to ensure a positive experience.
Adhere to all health and safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant medical regulations.
Participate in training and professional development programs to keep skills and knowledge current.
Qualifications:
Certification in Ear Microsuction
from a recognized institution (e.g., accredited training program).
Previous experience in ear microsuction or ear care (preferred but not required for newly trained candidates).
Knowledge of ear anatomy, ear health, and common ear conditions (e.g., impacted cerumen, otitis externa).
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain procedures and aftercare to patients.
Compassionate, patient-focused approach with the ability to handle nervous or anxious patients.
Ability to work efficiently in a clinical setting, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and patient care.
Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of patient cases.
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations, including infection control standards.
Desired Skills:
Experience in customer service
or working in a patient-facing role is a plus.
