The Role: Early Careers Lead

Purpose:

The role is responsible for leading on the development, co-ordination and continual improvement of early careers programmes including apprenticeships, graduates, school engagement, and other career initiatives to support ABPs future workforce plans.

Act as a subject matter expect in relation to early careers programmes, promoting alternative development models to the business.

Ensure programmes meet relevant external body requirements as appropriate, liaising continually with the Heads of HR and senior managers to review opportunities for early careers programmes.

Accountabilities:

  • This is a national role, located in the Humber and with responsibility of the design, delivery, monitoring of programmes across ABP.
  • Responsible for the management of the Apprenticeship Levy (DAS account) on behalf of ABP.
  • Provides advice and guidance on to managers across the business.
  • Responsible for the quality and continuous improvement of programme content and delivery for apprenticeships and graduate programmes.
  • Responsible for provider relationships which may be required to support the programmes across ABP.
  • Responsible for the wellbeing and safeguarding for all those on Early Careers programmes.
  • The role will also have responsibility for building a relationship with the iFaTe to stay abreast of apprenticeship changes in England, Wales, and Scotland.
  • Role will require travel across all ABP locations.

Not one who is afraid to challenge the status quo, you will have excellent organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure to achieve objectives.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential
  • At least a CIPD level 5 in learning and development
  • Practical experience in managing levy funds and DAS account in an Employer environment.
  • Experience in managing supplier relationships for training provision
  • Experience of designing and implementing development programmes
  • Understand the legislation and regulation in working with government, industry, and educational bodies.
Ideal

Skilled facilitator with experience of teaching others in an interactive/classroom environment
