Department Overview

CIB Human Resources Department (CIB HR) supports CIB staff and managers in London, providing them with a full range of strategic advisory & transactional services (in terms of payroll, pension & benefits, recruitment, career management, learning & development and employee relations). In regular contact with the Group HR Department of BNP Paribas, CIB HR is the entry point for all CIB employees on any human resources issue. The team in London comprises of circa 60 human resources professionals

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Early Careers, this role will sit within the Early Careers Recruitment Team, and will partner with a broad range of stakeholders from all levels, and across Global Markets, Global Banking and Functions.

This role will ensure that our CIB Early Careers proposition supports the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s strategic ambitions to build a strong junior diverse talent pipeline across all our programmes, by shaping the strategy for each of the business lines, and focusing on the attraction, programme management & retention across all business areas.

Note that occasional travel may be required for this role, especially in peak-campus recruitment season.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Benchmark our recruitment, programmes and training against competitors in the market
  • Implement strategies that further develop the diversity initiatives of the Bank
  • Work with the business to continuously improve and drive the strategy in line with the Banks direction and focus
  • Bring alignment across the different business lines with regards to attraction, recruitment & programme management
  • Work in partnership with our Marketing & Attraction agency and the Head of Early Careers to establish best practice and devise our attraction plan
  • Analysis of historical and current EC data which will inform areas for improvement and the trends moving into each recruitment season
Programme Management
  • Lead the team in the successful management of our programmes and career initiatives (Apprenticeships, Spring Insights, Summer Interns and Graduates)
  • Responsible for the graduate rotation allocation process
  • Take the lead on performance management including probation & appraisals
  • Manage the end of programme process for all graduates on a rotational programme, including the management of permanent offers to graduates
  • Continuous improvement mindset \xe2\x80\x93 gather and provide regular feedback and insight, using it to proactively think of new ways to improve our early career programmes, candidate and employee experience, and talent management practices
Other
  • Main point of communication for key internal stakeholders for our Early Career programmes
  • Lead or contribute to adhoc projects as discussed with the Head of Early Careers
  • Supervision and day-to-day management of the Team Coordinators
Qualifications

The Requirements

Essential
  • Extensive experience in programme management \xe2\x80\x93 design, delivery and evaluation
  • Ability to evolve strategy and use data in decision making
  • Strong partnership capability \xe2\x80\x93 be a strong collaborator but are also comfortable to challenge and drive change
  • Excellent project management and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven and rapidly changing environment
  • Has a positive and proactive approach to resolving situations, using own initiative where appropriate
Preferred
  • Experience of ATS Systems
