Job Description

We are looking to employ a motivated, enthusiastic bubbly person to work in our busy, popular nursery in our main nursery, this position is between 32/40 hours a week subject to a probationary period. The hours will be year round 7.30am - 6pm on a shift pattern, Monday to Friday. The right candidate must hold a level 3 qualification in early years, experience is preferable but not a must as on the job training is always given and supported. Our nursery offers a competitive package for the right person, which will be discussed on interview.

Duties

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood education principles. Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support each child's individual needs. Manage classroom behaviour by establishing clear expectations and providing positive reinforcement. Lead activities that promote physical, emotional, and intellectual growth through play-based learning. Observe and assess children's progress regularly, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles. Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive educational experience across the nursery setting. Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or educational setting is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their development. Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
