About the role



As a Senior Practitioner in Family Support, you will be locality based, working alongside a multi-agency team. You will be reporting to and supporting the Operational Manager by providing operational leadership. You will have a strong understanding of level of needs for statutory intervention and the management of family support in universal plus services. This role includes case-holding, whilst providing line management, advice, guidance, and supervision to up to 3 Early Help Family Support Workers. You will be imaginative and motivated, with a passion for leading practice development. You will be a role model for excellent Family Support Practice based on child centred and restorative principles. You will be aspiring to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.

About you



We are looking for dynamic, friendly and empathetic team player, who has a good track record of evidence-based family support case management, teamwork, and holding other professionals accountable. Operating in a superdiverse multi-lingual environment, you will have a strong understanding of how to respectfully challenge and proactively support inclusivity, equity and diversity. You will be highly organised, self-motivated and digitally literate.


As Senior Early Help Practitioner you will demonstrate an informed commitment to safeguarding, client confidentiality, professional curiosity and professional boundaries, with at least 5 years` experience of working with children and families.


Knowledge of additional community language skills would also be advantageous.


Professional multi-agency collaboration with education, health, police, community and faith settings is key to the success of this role. You will be required to accurately record, review and audit team activities to support families and demonstrate the impact of the GSA Early Help Service on a regular basis. This will be supported and monitored by your line manager to meet both internally requirements and the needs of the Early Help Contract.
