We have an exciting opportunity for a registered mental health nurse, social worker or occupational therapist to join our specialist team in working with patients aged between 14 -65 experiencing first episode psychosis.



We are dynamic & highly specialist team, working with an interesting client group, where there's an opportunity to significantly impact on an individual's well-being and functioning and long-term clinical outcomes.



The role involves specialist assessment & treatment of patients presenting with symptoms of psychosis. You would join a multi disciplinary team of nurses, social workers, OTs, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, psychologists and clinical support workers. There is a wide range of experience and skills within the team and we are passionate about nurturing our staff to develop their skills.




Main duties of the job




The successful candidate will be expected to collaboratively plan an individuals care needs and assess risk factors and implement interventions in line with the access and wait time standards; that improve outcomes for the individual and their families. You will be offered a thorough induction period, including shadowing established team members and regular supervision. The appointed applicant should be willing to engage in continuing professional development opportunities.



Excellent communication, report writing and assessment skills are essential for this post. We are looking for highly skilled and competent practitioners, who are motivated and committed to delivering quality and evidence based care and willing to develop and initiate recovery focused groups. As part of the role there will be opportunities to participate in groups aimed at reducing cardiometabolic risk factors, such as gym, climbing and walking groups. Applicants should have sound working knowledge of the current spectrum of mental health disorders and the Mental Health Act.



Applicants should have post registration clinical experience and be able to demonstrate the appropriate skills needed to provide an outstanding service. We are looking for individuals who are flexible and conscientious team members.



Awareness and understanding of the EIPS model is essential.



Access to transport for work purposes is essential.
