Purpose of job:




To take ownership of the early careers roles and trainee lifecycle with external branding, marketing & communication through to assessment and recruitment. Managing cyclical projects and processes and supporting internal development through to qualification.



Early Careers & Recruitment:




Supporting the end-to-end recruitment process for all early career roles in collaboration with the relevant hiring managers and the recruitment team Working with the Head of Talent Attraction & Recruitment and wider recruitment team to ensure the firm's employer value proposition (EVP) for early talent remains competitive and in line with the firm's DE&I strategy Creating social media campaigns and working with third party universities and organisations to attract a diverse talent pool of candidates Building out the assessment piece on an annual basis, ensuring it is rigorous, fair and inclusive Ensuring that all early talent processes and initiatives are accessible and inclusive Organising, attending, and facilitating early talent attraction events; careers fairs and insight days Using applicant tracking systems (AllHires and Apply4Law) for reporting and candidate tracking Managing the firms work experience programme and overseeing all coordination and assessment Assisting the Head of Talent Attraction & Recruitment with the graduate recruitment budget Making recommendations for improvements to onboarding and future trainee events Deliver updates to the People & Culture team, wider firm and candidates, building networks both internally and externally, with an understanding of relevant industry and competitor trends and activity.

Trainee Development:




Support the administration of the programme to ensure compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Managing the on-boarding, appraisals and seat rotations of trainees, including overseeing the trainee and newly qualified induction programmes Liaising with external providers to manage the delivery of professional qualifications (principally the SQE via ULaw) Managing the newly qualified process by which eligible trainees and non-qualified firm members apply for newly qualified associate positions * Working closely with the firm's People and Culture team and Training Principal to support trainee development and engagement.
