We are looking for an experienced Nursery Bank Cook.

Bank Flexible Work 8-4:30pm

Salary:

12.25

The Role:

To plan, prepare, and cook nutritious and balanced meals and snacks for children in the nursery, taking into account dietary requirements, allergies, and preferences, while maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment. Your key duties will include:

Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen in compliance with food safety regulations Managing kitchen stock and ensuring efficient stock control Preparing and cooking meals for lunch, snacks, and tea services, in line with the current menu and taking into account any dietary or age-specific needs Adhering to Health and Safety standards and Environmental Health guidelines Staying informed on best practices and current trends in nutrition and food safety

The Hours:

This is a bank position, flexible working role, with working hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

About You:

We're looking for someone who:

Holds a Level 2 Food Safety qualification, or is willing to work towards it Is aware of allergies, allergens, and environmental health regulations, and is committed to staying up-to-date with this knowledge
If you are passionate about preparing fresh meals and enjoy using quality ingredients, this role could be a great fit for you.

Experience in cooking for children is a plus but not essential.
