River Mead School is looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic Early Years Class Teacher to join their team. Working as a member of staff within our Trust you will be a part of a team and play an active role in ensuring the learning and development of all our young people.

The working hours for this role are expected to be, Full-Time (1.0). The contract is expected to end on 31/08/2026.

The expected start date for this role will be 02/11/2025, or 05/01/2026 depending on availability.

Some of your duties and responsibilities will include, preparing teaching materials, setting up the classroom and organizing displays. Planning and teaching well-structured EYFS lessons to assigned classes, following the school's plans, curriculum and schemes of work. The successful candidate will be expected to reinforce the school ethos, e.g., expectations of behaviour within class and elsewhere on the school site. It is imperative that you have an outstanding understanding of EYFS practice, knowledge and expertise and are able to communicate this to children effectively. Being able to assess, monitor, record and report on learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned children, making accurate and productive use of assessment is also a critical part of the role.
