Elite Dance Centre is a vibrant, family-focused dance school offering a range of classes across Basildon/Laindon and Hockley. We believe in creating a nurturing environment where every child feels confident, valued, and inspired through dance.

We're excited to be expanding our

Early Years Programme

in Hockley and are looking for a special teacher to join us on this journey.

The Role

We're seeking a warm, enthusiastic and reliable teacher to lead our Saturday morning

Early Years Ballet & Tap

classes for children aged

18 months to 4 years

.
These classes are all about building confidence, rhythm, coordination, and a love of dance through fun, creative sessions.

The successful candidate will:

Arrive between

8:30-8:45 AM

to set up the studio ready for class. Teach engaging, imaginative sessions suitable for young children. Foster a positive, nurturing and encouraging environment. Communicate warmly with parents and carers at drop-off and pick-up. Be confident leading both parent-and-child and independent early years groups.

About You

You'll be someone who genuinely loves working with little ones and can bring energy, patience and creativity to each class.

Essential qualities:

A dance background (ballet and/or tap preferred). A kind, patient and nurturing teaching style. Enthusiasm for working with very young children. Punctual, reliable, and organised.

Desirable but not essential:

Previous teaching experience or early years education experience. Dance teaching qualifications (ISTD, RAD, IDTA, etc.) A willingness to grow and learn, full support and guidance will be provided.

Training & Support

You'll have the opportunity to

shadow our Principal, Miss Jemma

, at our Basildon branch before starting, to get comfortable with our structure, teaching style, and class routines.
We'll support you every step of the way to ensure you feel confident and part of the Elite family.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 20.00-30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 per week
