Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated LEVEL 2 OR 3 Early Years Educator to join our growing day nursery and out of school club. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in nurturing and developing the foundational skills of young children in a safe and stimulating environment. This position requires an individual who is enthusiastic about early childhood education and is committed to fostering a nurturing environment among children, and who has a love of the outdoors.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers on their development. Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive environment that caters to the diverse needs of all children. Maintain accurate records of children's activities, progress, and any concerns that may arise. Encourage positive behaviour through effective guidance techniques and support. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early years education.

Qualifications

A recognised qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Childcare or equivalent). Experience working with young children in an educational setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. A genuine passion for working with young children and promoting their development. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Knowledge of child development theories and practices is advantageous. An understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures within an educational context.
This post can be either over 3 or 4 days per week between the hours of 730-6pm

Rate of pay will be dependent on age and qualification and can be discussed upon application.
