Jigsaw Pre School has 2 settings that are dedicated to providing exceptional early years education in a purpose-built setting. Our team is composed of highly qualified professionals who are passionate about creating a fun, friendly, and engaging environment for children aged 18 months to school age.

Summary

We are seeking an Early Years Educator to join our team at Jigsaw Pre School in Needham Market (initially as maternity cover with the potential for continued hours). In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality education and care, ensuring that each child receives the best possible start in their educational journey.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of young children. Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to early years education. Support children's emotional and social development through positive interactions. Maintain accurate records of children's achievements and development milestones.

Requirements

Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare. Experience working with young children in a nursery or preschool setting. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Leadership skills to guide and support less experienced staff members. Ability to manage classroom activities while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Your qualification MUST be full and relevant to work within early years, please be aware that this does not include any health and social care courses.

The hours of work:

approx 15hours per week (pay will be based on the national living wage for age)

The successful candidate will be required to start from 3rd November 2025 for the remainder of the academic year with the potential for hours thereafter

these hours may increase from Jan 2026
