We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join our dedicated team as a 1:1 SEN Practitioner. This is a rewarding opportunity to support a child with additional needs, helping them to thrive, learn and feel included within our setting.
This is initially a fixed term contract but could develop into other opportunities across our growing organisation.
Working hours are Tuesday and Thursday 8:00pm-3:30pm and Friday's 8:00-2:00pm
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, individualised support to a child with Special Educational Needs.
Work closely with the SENCO, parents and external professionals to implement and review support plans.
Adapt learning experiences and resources to suit the child's individual needs and promote progress.
Support the child's communication, social, emotional and physical development through play-based learning.
Maintain accurate records of observations, progress and next steps.
Promote inclusion and positive behaviour in line with the setting's policies and values.
About You
Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
Experience of supporting children with SEN and/or additional needs (desirable).
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Warm, patient, and nurturing approach, with a commitment to inclusion and equality.
