Early Years Practitioner (Level 2/3)

QUALIFIED

LEVEL 2 OR 3 NURSERY PRACTITIONER

20 HOURS PER WEEK TERM TIME ONLY

12.25 per hour

Benington Nursery is looking for a fun and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The role will suit an enthusiastic and hard-working person with experience as a key-person in a similar setting. We are a small, friendly team and we are looking for someone to join us for 20 hours per week (8.45am-12.45pm Monday to Friday term time only).

Job Requirements

Full and relevant childcare qualification at Level 2 or above sound understanding of child development and children's needs sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage ability to plan and implement a nursery curriculum Previous experience as a Key Person ability to write clear and concise observations ability to build up strong relationships with children, their parents/carers and other staff sound knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding and Child protection

Typical work activities

teaching all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage; helping children achieve the early learning goals; interacting and supporting children in a positive way to foster their enthusiasm for learning; working closely in partnership with parents; planning the indoor and outdoor environment in order to provide a positive context for learning and teaching; planning experiences and activities that are challenging but achievable; meeting requirements for the observation, assessment and recording of children's development; organising time and material resources; using creative and practical skills to prepare learning materials
