Grade 6 Scp. 18 - 23 Fixed Term until March 2028

Qualified to Level 5 in a relevant subject or be willing to work towards. NVQ level 3 in childcare or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline e.g. NNEB, CACHE.

- Excellent numeracy/ literacy skills - equivalent to NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths

A full time post is available to a successful candidate wishing to work within the Early Support Team within Prevention and Family Support.

Currently the Early Support Team work with children who require additional support and intervention due to developmental delay. Through child development and Flying Start Expansion funding, the team have been able to work beyond Flying Start into the generic population to support those families with children who may have developmental delay. This initiative has started to expand across areas of Newport, and we require Early Years Inclusion Delivery Officers to continue with the delivery of targeted intervention support for childcare settings across Newport, as well as the delivery of group interventions. Successful candidates will be required to work closely with the Early Years Language Delivery Officers and other Early Years teams to deliver this ambitious program.



We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and reliable individuals who have a particular interest in child development to work in partnership with the wider Early Years team, key specialist staff, parents and carers to promote the vision and values of the child development programme. This will include representation at various referral panels such as ISR (Intervention & Support Request) and SPACE Well-being.



The post holders will work (Monday-Friday) 37 hours per week (52 weeks). The post commences as soon as possible, on a fixed term basis until 31st March 2028.



The candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as genuine commitment to the care and development of very young children.
