Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship - Level 5 - Hopton School House Playgroup




Shoots Training are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Hopton School House Playgroup, as a Nursery Manager for an immediate start or September 2025 ready for the start of the academic year.


Hopton School House playgroup is in a 300 year old building and has 20 children, is very personal, homely and friendly


We consist of 2 rooms, a playroom and a craft room


We also have use of a kitchen, office and meeting rooms


Qualities Required:




We are looking for a person to take on the role of Manager to join our lovely team and to oversee the day to day running of this very busy setting. Having a strong understanding of the EYFS Framework, safeguarding, policies and procedures and be aware of changes in practice when they arise are essential for this role. 2 years minimum experience required. Qualified at NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development or above is essential Have a good understanding of SEN Confidence with IT is a must.

Your roles and responsibilities will include;




To be passionate about early years education and care and can also demonstrate a clear love for working with children from age 2 years 6 months to 4 years old. They will need to be able to plan and deliver engaging age-appropriate activities that nurture learning and creativity in a safe and inspiring environment, observe, assess and track children's individual progress and support children's social, emotional and personal development. Helping ALL children thrive through play and have lots of fun whilst doing it. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be confident in liaising with children's families and all staff/visitors at the setting.

Hours;




Hopton School House Playgroup are open between the hours of 07.30-18.00 Monday-Friday Term Time Only Working hours will be a minimum of 35 hours per week and shifts patterns will be discussed

Requirements;




GCSE's A-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e. functional skills
Must be able to obtain clear DBS
