Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship - Level 5 - Sherbourne House Nursery

Shoots Training are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Sherbourne House Nursery, as a Level 5 Childcare Room Leader


Welcome to Sherborne House School's Nursery where children aged six months to four years have the best possible introduction to education through a nurturing, stimulating and playful environment, fostering independence and creativity in every child.


Our Nursery is divided into three different rooms, allowing children to thrive in small groups and receive individual attention.

Qualities Required:

Paediatric First Aid Safeguarding Food Hygiene certifications Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong leadership and organisational skills A warm, caring, and nurturing approach to working with children Ability to lead by example and support professional development of others Confident in using assessment and observation tools.

Passionate about working with children. Patient, caring, and responsible. Creative and enthusiastic. Good organisational and time management skills

Your roles and responsibilities will include;

To lead a designated room within the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, education, and safety for all children. You will support and supervise a team of practitioners, plan engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS, and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the room.

Hours;

Sherbourne House Nursery are open between the hours of 07.30-18.00 Monday-Friday Working hours will be 40 hours per week and shifts patterns will be discussed

Requirements;

Level 3 Early Years Childcare Qualification is essential when applying for this role GCSE's A-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e. functional skills
Must be able to obtain clear DBS Experience of leadership within an Early Years Setting or suitable experience
