Part time flexible post . Ideal for a student studying towards and early Years or teaching qualification . We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Daycare Assistant to join our nurturing environment in our Ofsted Outstanding setting in Leeds16 . The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a safe, engaging, and educational atmosphere. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the daily activities of children, ensuring their well-being and development while fostering a love for learning.

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and implementation of daily activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being. Communicate effectively with children, encouraging positive interactions and helping them develop social skills. Maintain a clean and organised environment, including the nursery area and play spaces. Support children in their daily routines, including personal hygiene and meal times. Ensure safeguarding procedures are upheld Collaborate with lead educators to manage classroom behaviour and implement educational programmes. Engage in activities that stimulate children's creativity and curiosity through play-based learning.

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. A background in Early Childhood Education or related fields is advantageous. Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with children and colleagues. A passion for childcare, along with the ability to drive engagement through fun and educational experiences. DBS checks will be undertaken by the employer if you do not hold one .
