Here at Sunflower Day Nursery based at Courtenay Park we are seeking to employ a highly motivated individual who will provide quality care and education to children from birth to 5 years. A can-do, positive attitude is essential. We have found that a good team is made up of individuals who look upon the setting as a 'whole' asking themselves where can my help be most utilised and responding to that proactively.

You will be expected to provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care to children. You will be required to plan and implement age and stage appropriate play experiences and opportunities for your cohort of children, taking factual observations and extending learning by engaging with, adding to these experiences and setting appropriate next steps. You will actively contribute to each child's online learning journal and developmental files.

The welfare of children is most paramount and so it is essential that the children within our care are at the center of all decision making at the nursery. You must constantly be aware of the ever changing needs of the children and adapt your practices to meet these needs.

The successful candidate will hold a DfE full level 2 or 3 early years qualification. Should the successful candidate hold level 2 then training towards achieving level 3 will be given. Training in Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding and Welfare is desirable, however, this alongside a rife of other training and development to extend your own continuous professional development will be given to the successful candidate. We are committed to safeguarding and all new employees are to have an enhanced DBS check carried out along with 2 successful references.

Pay: 12.21-12.59 per hour
